Ocean front Island Sands #305 is a beautifully upgraded condo in the western wing of this peaceful resort. Tile flooring runs throughout the main areas, and this, combined with island-style furniture and art, gives you a tropical vibe that’s relaxing and exciting at the same time. Prepare an island feast with locally sourced fish and produce, the kitchen is fully equipped! Dine on the lanai with its gorgeous ocean views spread out before you. You can watch the sun rise over Haleakala, then a few hours later, see it sink into the Pacific—the colors can be vivid or subtle, but are always beautiful. In the winter you can watch the whales from here, the Humpbacks return to our island waters to have their calves where it is warm and protected. Seeing them breach is an experience you will forever savor.
Both bedrooms are carpeted; the master has a queen bed and opens to the double lanai; it also has an upgraded en suite bathroom with a peaceful feel with its granite counter, marble tiling, and walk-in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and a bathroom featuring a tub/shower combo. With the sleeper sofa in the living room, the condo sleeps 6. The unit is air conditioned to keep you cool while you are entertained with complimentary cable TV, high-speed internet and free WIFI. The in-unit washer/dryer is super convenient, as is the free parking.
Outside, the grounds are gorgeously manicured and include an ocean front pool, BBQ station, and plenty of lounge chairs! Staying on-site is definitely appealing at this resort, as is exploring a couple of nearby places on foot! Sugar Beach is to the east of the resort; it is 2.5 miles of white-sanded serenity, extending all the way to North Kihei. Ma’alaea Harbor is a 10-minute walk to the west; there you can book snorkeling, sunset sail and whale watch (in season) excursions. There are also shops and restaurants, and the Maui Aquarium.
