Kihei Beach Resort 210

The unit was in generally good shape. Interesting that the king bed wasn't in the master bedroom. The unit was clean and comfortable. The view from the Lani was great. We loved the access to the beach which has been a favorite of ours staying at other resorts. A few items like the ice maker doesn't work but sufficient trays to do our own. Disappointed that the office wasn't open yet from the recent flood. They are working on it.

Beautiful property in an unbeatable location. Great views of the ocean, and a short walk down the nearby stairs to access the property and beach. One of the better stocked kitchens we have seen, and mostly newer and remodeled features throughout the condo. A very nice choice for Kihei!

The condo was fully stocked, beach chairs, beach towels, cooler. The big tree out front blocks quite a bit of the view from the 2nd floor,the light outside the patio on the side of the building is a bit too bright, sliding glass door doesn’t close all the way, it’s tweaked/offset at the top so Ac shuts off, only 1 small fan in the unit, we found it better at night to leave the doors and windows open. New management seems to have stricter rules than prior, woke up on our last day to signs taped to our paddle boards saying we can’t leave them in the pool area, I’ve left my boards in the pool area for the last 8 years never once have I had this, in fact last building manager told us it was the safest place to leave them in the back of the pool area against the fence, they don’t impact anyone sitting by the pool or take space or views from people sitting at the pool. So was a bit disappointed in that situation since there is no storage area to keep them? We love the location of this place, it’s convienent, love the abc, bakery and shave ice across the street, love the canoe club next door.

It was lovely to have a corner unit, however, there is a large palm directly in front of the lanai which blocks the main view directly out to the ocean from the unit. The unit was bright, pleasant and well supplied in the kitchen, but a few things need updating and the windows really need to be washed on the outside. The garberator broke 2-days before we left and resulted in water to be cleaned up and a pot under the sink until we left. The couch really needs to be replaced as it was rather smelly. For the price, the living-room furniture needs to be updated.

The condo was beautiful, well equipped, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. That being said, the tree in front of this condo was very obstructive and prevented us from seeing a beautiful view of the ocean. If I were an owner of this condo I would be very upset. I know you have no control over the boat that washed ashore but that also obstructed the view and the noise from the waves against the boat was annoying. I love this building, have stayed here 3 times before but would never book on this side of the building again because of the tree.

Great location, lovely beach side views. Everything necessary was available in the condo unit. Extremely helpful staff as we dealt with a family medical issue.

The views from this condo can’t be beat!! We loved waking up every morning and hearing the waves crashing and watching the canoes go out. The walk to the beach and pool were super easy. The unit itself had everything we needed, we just supplied the food. We had one issue with the stove top, but it was fixed the next day. Customer service and maintenance were very responsive! Make sure to visit Sugar Beach Bake Shop, the line was worth it...as well as the shaved ice. It was also super convenient to have an ABC market right across the street. My only complaint was that our trip wasn’t long enough. We will be back again once Covid calms down. If you do go during Covid, please be respectful of the people that live there. Follow their rules, wear a mask (and don’t be a jerk about it) and be patient...wait times can be long! It’s a beautiful place to be.

Overall nice place. The table was a little small for four people on the outside Lanai, not many amenities, didn't enjoy being in a flood zone and having to move our car out of the area. But it was a great location being right on the beach and the management got back right away and answered all our questions and helped us with our concerns

Unit 210 was very well equipped with what we needed. We had a few issues, but Sherry came right over and fixed them., she was great!
Our only issue was that the air conditioner was not working and did not cool off the unit. I believe the owners are aware of the issue and it was quite disappointing that we paid so much for this unit for 8 days and had no air conditioning. We had to keep front doors and slider open to get cross ventilation when we were in our unit, except for nighttime and it got very warm. Would not recommend this unit unless the air conditioner is working.

We always have a wonderful stay at the Kihei Beach Condos. This is the first time going through Destination Maui Reality. The condo itself was clean.. spacious and well equipped as always. The grounds were amazing as per usual. The views..the beach and of course the ocean were all fantastic! The staff helped make this whole Covid nonsense more tolerable. We had to jump through a lot of hoops just to get to Maui but I would like to say it was all worth it in the end! Overall... our stay was wonderful!
Hopefully someday we’ll return under better circumstances.

On the Beach at Kihei

Very few condos at Kihei are actually right on the beach, like the ones at Kihei Beach Resort. Location doesn’t get any better than this! Daniel does a great job managing his units at KBR. Our thanks to him ! We enjoyed our vacation at KBR so much that we plan to return next year.

Couldn’t have had a better experience. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The grounds were well maintained and the condo staff were great.
This unit was on the end near the canoe club so it could get a Little noisy early in the morning. The only thing that was a draw back were the transients who were hanging out at the beach later in the evenings.

We booked this place for 10 days. It was an AMAZING stay. The view of the ocean, just right outside your windows, is breathtaking. You are literally a dozen steps from the sandy beach. The beach itself is far away from the tourist-laden resorts, which makes it relatively calm and quiet. You are half an hour away from most parts of the island, which is very convenient.

The room itself is great, containing a full kitchen with everything you need to heat a pre-cooked meal or create a masterpiece. The living room couch can fully fold out to fit 2 people. There is an in-suite washer and dryer for laundry. The room also comes with 4 chairs for the sandy beach and a cooler box to keep your drinks cold. Everything mentioned above is not very obvious from the pictures.

Things you might want to bring extras of if you stay more than 3 days: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towel, and toilet paper.

Overall, my family had a great time staying at this location and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in Maui.

Love Maui

We've stayed in this unit 3 times and have booked again for next year. We love the location, unit layout, manager & staff and the friendly people who return the same time to vacation each year who have since become our friends.

I love this unit. Location and very ocean front. The beach is walkable forever in both directions. Comfortable interior with plenty of seating. The coffee maker needs replacement. The bathroom hot water takes 5 minutes to get there. The bed mattress should be replaced. But overall none of these items detered our stay. We have already booked for next year. Aloha.

Overall, good experience. We were pleased with our stay and would recommend. Entry/check-in was flawless. Location with great shave ice across the street and a great quiet beach


Pros: location, space, quiet, beach
Cons: blinds need replaced, furniture okay, but could be better, could use a guest onsite checklist/FAQ (date spices, stove how to, etc)

A Very Maui Christmas
We had our first sunny and warm Christmas in Maui and stayed at Kihei Beach Resort. It was great, and being our first time on Maui we did not know where to stay and so glad we picked Kihei Beach Resort. Whenever we went anywhere else on the island we would always say “we are so happy we are where we are staying!” Being right on the beach was perfect. We rented 3 condos and all 3 were great. We would definitely stay here again. Daniel and Kimberley were wonderful and always so helpful, Thank you for helping us with our fabulous family Christmas vacation in Maui.

This complex is my favorite in all of Hawaii. It’s only 50 units, 50 feet from miles of sandy beach. It’s not crowded around the pool, bbq, lawns. This unit is on the corner so you get extra window views to the south.

The unit was perfect for us with a few exceptions shower door in the second bath was not clean and the squeegee for it was laying in the bottom of a tub. The air conditioning was not working properly and we had to call the main office to have a repair service come in and fix it.

Overall we had a great time at Kihei Beach Resort. The convenience of the location cant be beat and we loved having easy access to the beach, especially with small children.

Although this unit (210) had some nice updates, it had things lacking. The vertical blinds were completely warped from the sun and useless, which meant it didn’t block out any afternoon sun so the front bedroom would get extremely warm during the day. This also meant the bedroom and living areas were very bright during the night as the second floor is on the level of all the exterior flood lights, (something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to light for sleeping). Some basic updated drapes would make a world of difference.
The kitchen was also crawling with sugar ants and the ant traps littered throughout clearly were not helping the situation.

As for the property management, they were completely non existent during our stay. The unit didn’t supply any extra blankets for the pull out sofa, I called and left a message, emailed, and never received any replies. We will not be using Destination Maui Vacations for any future rental properties.

We will definitely be returning to KBR but will be staying in a different unit using a different property management company.

Thins condo was perfect for our vacation. We liked that it was centrally located and we could easily get to all the fun things we had planned for our vacation. The condo was clean and had just enough room for our family of 4. The beaches were not crowded and it was quiet as well. We did appreciate that this condo had a washer and dryer in the unit.

The location was perfect for our family needs, especially the unit. The views were stunning- we have stayed in other places before, and this was by far the best. The unit had everything we needed for a long stay- kitchen items a plenty and over all very clean. Excellent, excellent communication throughout our planning, arrival, and departure. Would return to the same place again.

My husband and are two old teenagers enjoyed a week at Kihei Beach Resort, Unit 210 in December 2022. The location directly on the beach is spectacular, and we walked on the long beach or played in the water most days. You can hear the waves gently crashing throughout the day, wake up to beautiful sunrises, and watch spectacular sunsets. It is also nice to be directly across from the shaved ice stand and an ABC Market. The unit was well-appointed with new bedding, towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and everything you might need in the kitchen. We also used the property's grills and outdoor lawn chairs. We've been to Kauai a number of times but never had the opportunity to be directly on the beach like we were in Maui. We loved it.

We had no issues with our stay. Only issue is a complaint from the kids that the spare bedroom beds were too firm and somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that the condo was clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the facilities and location of the condo.

This property is a short drive from the airport and right on the water. Falling asleep to the waves every night and enjoying the view from the balcony was nice. It is very central to Maui so nothing is too far away which was great after staying on the big island where everything seems like a long drive. Relatively peaceful although it is on a fairly active road and most mornings we had to contend with wild roosters crowing to get sleep. Nice place overall.
