Lovely Ma’alaea Banyans # 202 is located in a peaceful beach front resort with 180°ocean views. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living room a sofa sleeper; thus the condo sleeps four. The full kitchen stands ready to inspire your pupu and meal-making skills, while lanai is the spot to consume them and to enjoy nothing peek-a-boo about them views! An in-unit washer/dryer keeps you ready-to-roll fresh, while coolness comes with ceiling fans and A/C; connection comes with flat screen TV, complementary cable, high-speed internet, and free WIFI. These features may tempt you to laze at the resort with its tropical grounds, heated pool, spa, and BBQ/picnic areas—all ocean front with views of sunrise, sunset & moonlight on the bay, neighbor islands, the Kihei coastline, Mount Haleakala—and in winter, Humpback Whales who return each year to birth their calves in these protected waters.
If you are planning a day (or four or many more) at the resort, it’s fun to explore these two places on foot (or on both feet): Ma’alaea Town includes a bustling boat harbor offering exciting excursions—wintering-whale watches, snorkeling jaunts, and romantic sunset sails. Adjacent to the Marina are shops, restaurants, the Maui Aquarium, and a family-fun venue with mini golf and more. Sugar Beach is just to the east—it is a section of sandy serenity, a couple of miles-and-a-bit-more, that takes you to North Kihei where you can get some eats and treats before you head back to home-base, physically and mentally refreshed.
You may know that Ma’alaea is at the base of the isthmus that divides east from west Maui; and you may realize that as such you can easily venture forth from there to enjoy the full assortment of Maui attractions with low commute times (15 to 40 minutes) to: Kihei, Wailea, and Makena; Lahaina and Kaanapali; Kahului and Paia, and Makawao. The summit of Haleakala and Hana are further, of course—but dang, they are well worth the drive. Stay local or venture forth, either way you score! GET# W40228834-01
