Ocean front Ma’alaea Kai #204 has what you need to rejuvenate—ocean views to renew you, a serene bedroom suite to revive you, central AC to refresh you, and a full kitchen to re-energize you! Prepare an island feast here or at the property’s BBQ stations with a gas or charcoal grill, then wine yourself and dine yourself on your private lanai; the views are stunning: sunrise, sunset, moonlight shimmering across the water, and wintering whales breaching on the Bay. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a serene feel; the living room has a sleeper sofa; and the bathroom has a tub/shower combo—which all combine to make the unit comfortable for four guests.
The resort is in a tranquil, safe setting and the two-acres of features and tropical plantings are meticulously maintained, including pool, edge of ocean BBQs, play & dining areas, and the laundry facilities (floors 2,3,4). The tropical atmosphere really comes home to you when the line of tiki torches at the edge of the sea wall are lit at dusk—so Hawaiian!
Nearby are two places worthy of exploration, both within walking distance if you wish to stretch your legs a bit. The Harbor with its marina (book an ocean excursion or two, they are all amazing), shops, restaurants, the Maui Aquarium (world-class for coral), and more are about a 10-minute walk west of the resort. Sugar Beach is within reach at the end of the road, through Haycraft Park. It is beautifully uncrowded and has no buildings for 2.5 miles—nothing but white sand and bits of coral, some honu (sea turtles) basking on the shore, and the sound of the surf. (Talk about renewal!)
The central location of the resort is the icing on the cake, as when you want to venture forth from your home-base haven, most everything on Maui is within an easy 15 to 40-minute commute. GE/TAT 035-100-6720-01
