Makani A Kai Resort A-6

Great location right on a long, sandy beach. Many thoughtful amenities included in the kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean. We did lots of snorkeling, boogie boarding, paddle boarding. The grandkids loved it. My only complaint would be the occasional sewer smell coming from somewhere on the property.

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year Anniversary with our stay at Makani A Kai Resort A-6. The location cannot be beat. We were right on the beach and had exceptional views of the water and other parts of Maui. In addition, the condo is large enough to not feel overcrowded with four people and two bathrooms. Our girls very much enjoyed the pool and played right outside of our condo when they wanted to stretch their legs. Our mornings were filled with drinking coffee and enjoying the breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. My family and I will return to the Makani A Kai Resort A-6 for sure!

We loved it here. Perfect oceanfront location. Quiet and serene. The complex appeared to be full, but we hardly ever saw other people, the pool was almost always to ourselves, and parking was always available.
The unit was clean and comfortable. No problems whatsoever; I never had to contact the on-site manager or the management company for help, but they were just a text or call away if I needed anything.
The location is great: convenient to the airport and Kahului for shopping, an easy drive to Kihei and Wailea for restaurants. And Lahaina and Kaanapali are only a half hour’s drive (not far, but the speed limit is low).
The beach is sandy and clean and so easy to access and not overcrowded.
My only wish is that there weren’t a five-night minimum so I could stay here on weekend trips.
I would stay here again – no hesitation whatsoever.

This is a large and lovely condo in an secluded location but convenient to most of the island, right on a miles long nearly empty beach. The views from the lanai are amazing.

Our rental unit exceeded our expectations. The grounds were luscious and well maintained. The views from our lanai (where we spent most of our time) were outstanding. The unit itself was beautiful and tastefully appointed with everything we needed. We were fortunate to meet one of the owners and they were very gracious. In a nutshell, we were so impressed with this unit, that we rented this property for a portion of our vacation for the next two years.

Privacy with a view
We loved the condo. It was clean and comfortable with a great view and easy access to the beach. We had everything we needed. The unit is centrally located. I will absolutely stay here again!

Sherry from Destination Maui Vacations moved us to Makani Kai from Kihei Beach Resort due to the storm that hit the island. We were so pleasantly surprised with the condo! We loved our unit & stay. We spent most of the time on the beautiful lanai-enjoying sunrise & sunset. The location is so quiet, beach side and loved the layout. We would recommend to anyone going to Maui.

We (3 adults) had a wonderful vacation staying in Makani A Kai A6! The unit is comfortable, clean, and extremely well-located on the lawn and a few steps from the beach, with great views of Haleakala. We saw lots of whales from the lanai. The beach is great for walking and swimming. We saw sea turtles every morning while we were walking on the beach. The pool and BBQ facilities are excellent. The staff from the rental company were very responsive and helpful.

What a Gem!

Could not have been any better: Easy to find, central to everywhere, right on the beach and the unit is ground floor so you can just open either one of the double sliders and walk right out your living room on the the grass lawn that extends to the white sand beach. This condo is a total Gem!!!!

We were 4 adults sharing this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes/pots, etc. The linens were very good - the beds comfortable - the property was quiet and best of all, it was right on the beach where there were turtles hanging out in the water! There were no roads to cross to get there. The location was central to the West side and the East side of the island. Keihi was a short drive away where there is everything one might need - even a 24 hour Safeways for those late night arrivals.

Just right for Our little family, in a perfect spot right in-front of Beach. The property not far from shopping stores and airport. We had a great experience overall , manager very helpful and the owner very attentive.

2 weeks of good time

Have stayed at this location many times over the last few years. Needless to say I really enjoy this location. I consider it a 4/5 star location and I will be back here in March of 2019

Our family of 4 stayed for one week. The place was as described. Updated kitchen, bathrooms were nice, beds were comfy, had a great view. We enjoyed having access to beach supplies (coolers, beach chairs, body boards). While here, we walked to the Maui Ocean Center, enjoyed time on the spacious lanai, and walked on the beach. The place was right in the center, so it was easy to go to West Maui, South Maui, Central Maui, Road to Hana, and the upcountry. We did many day trips and explored various beaches and drove to Kehie watch the sunset.

We did not realize this place was next to a public beach and we could hear the party from the beach campers on the weekends from our lanai. We came home from a day out finding a stranger enjoying our lanai. When he saw us, he left to enjoy the lounge chairs. Not sure if he and his friends were staying on property. Also found a dead mouse one morning on the lawn by the lanai. I contacted the office and they removed it the next day.

We loved our visit to Maui. The property was clean, beautiful view and lanai, good location for visiting all areas of the island. Well stocked and always parking. Great pool, beach, and trade winds kept things cool. Would stay here again. Found fours sisters bakery for breakfast treats every morning only about 10 minutes away and it was to die for!
