Beach front resort Makani A Kai # B-1 is a deluxe condo with a decidedly home-like floor plan, a bit different than the usual vacation units you see. It has been beautifully remodeled with quality materials and presents a serene, tropical feel with colorful island art, décor, quality furniture, and granite in the full kitchen, and marble tile in the gorgeous walk-in shower bathrooms. This is a two bedroom/two bath unit that is suitable for four guests.
After a day of adventuring on Maui, cool off in the AC and relax in front of the large flat screen TV (with complementary cable and sound system). There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, but with the fully equipped kitchen, you can create your own tropical dinner—enjoy the fruits of your endeavor inside or out on the lanai, both have seating for four. The view from the lanai is across the tropical landscape, the pool BBQ/Picnic station, and on out into Ma’alaea Bay, with Haleakala serving as an impressive backdrop! There are many activities going on out there, harbor boats on exciting excursions; people surfing, paddling and playing—and in winter, Humpback Whales return from Alaska’s cold waters to give birth to their babies in Hawaii’s warm—it’s all endlessly interesting.
The resort is next to Haycraft County Beach Park; it is popular with local families and surfers, and is the entry point for exploring the 2.5-mile stretch know as Sugar Beach. It is unbuilt, uncrowded and the views are unobstructed. Ma’alaea Harbor and Shops are about a 15-minute walk to the west and really should be explored—the harbor is a-bustle with the excursion boats, and the shops, restaurants, and attractions are fun and diverting.
And finally, since the resort is centrally located it is easy to explore the west, north, and south side attractions with commute times between 15 to 40 minutes. GET# W40839916-01
