A corner unit, A-3 boasts extra-large windows, offering stunning and expansive views of the ocean. Watch boats coming in and out of the harbor, surfers riding the waves, paddlers, and even whales in the winter.
Inside the unit, the master bedroom features a king-sized bed and a new remodeled bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds, and the living area even has a sleeper sofa, so it can comfortably sleep up to six people. Cooking is made easy in the clean and well-equipped kitchen, and a BBQ station is perfect for grilling steak from cattle born and grazed on the slopes of Haleakala, all while enjoying the amazing oceanfront ambiance.
Lounge chairs are lined up at the edge of the lawn facing the ocean, perfect for some lazy downtime with a good book or for taking a nap. And with AC in the living room, a TV with complimentary cable and internet, and free WIFI, you're sure to have everything you need to stay comfortable and connected during your stay. Laundry facilities are on-site, and complimentary parking is provided for one vehicle per unit. The eastern side of the property abuts Haycraft County Beach Park, a popular spot with local families and surfers.
The calm and quiet 2.5-mile stretch of sand known as Sugar Beach begins here, with no buildings until you reach N. Kihei, just uninterrupted ocean views. A 10-minute walk lands you at the village of Ma'alaea, which offers great shopping, restaurants, and the Maui Ocean Center. The harbor is also located here, where you can take boats for a variety of ocean adventures. Hi. Our unit (A3) was just OK this time. This was our 5th Korean 6th time renting it. Nice new fridge this year and a new dining area ceiling fan installed while we were there...very nice. One negative was spots on the carpet, which we cleaned. There is also a spot on the deck carpet and the rubber edge on the deck I delaminating now.
Other kind of ongoing issues the last 2 times weve rented this unit are the deck chairs are a bit shabby, and the silverware and kitchen utensils are a jumbled collection. We have purchased silverware and other kitchen items in the past to augment what is there, but the unit still needs a new can opener. We still had a great time though. Thanks for reading this. We had a great time in Makani a Kai A3. We have stayed there in different units many times since the late eighties! A3 is now beginning to look a little tired. Rosemary and the management team are superb, they were of assistance a couple of times. Owing to a misunderstanding, the door combination was changed while we were out for supper on our second-to-last night, and we had also problems with the lock box. We look forward to our next visit.
